"Wimmer" is what we had been waiting for, truly a wonderful cocktail of taste, dynamics, and lush noise.
Abrasive, ataraxic, and quite honestly full of toraxic power.
If you like high-intensity drum fills, shoegaze-like textures, and some Midwestern emo-influenced guitar riffs, Bill’s album "Wimmer" has it all, (even playful synths that pull at any zillenial’s heartstrings.)
Both "Claw" and "FIGGY" are standout starter tracks for an absolutely meteroric debut.. We are seriously surprised this has not gotten more attention, as it is truly one of the best records we’ve heard since we’ve started this blog.
Rawness, melody, drum fills—so many drum fills—noise, and a shit ton of taste. These guys really love noise pop and shoegaze, and it shows.
There is love, attention to detail, and homage to their influences (Hotline TNT!).
Their third track "Franku" has some eccentric synths that truly elevate the track, and the musicianship of their drummer, well, it's off the charts.
Fantastic job conjuring a true 2026 shoegaze album. Iterative and with a style-above-it-all approach, a core but almost forgotten principle of the sonic exploration that first made this genre interesting in the first place.
Big round of applause, guys; you’ll go far.
Sending you much love from the Zilla team.
