La Puta Electrica

La Puta Electrica

Authentic Venezuelan rock, “combustion arrecha,” is really what comes to mind when I hear Dinamita from their first album. La Puta Eléctrica has been at it in the Venezuelan rock scene since the 90s with their iconic debut album, “A Go Go Maldito Vol 1” (1999), raw power and unfiltered explosiveness, followed by their first English-language record, “Misión Fantasma” (2001), with catchier melodies and production.

Versatility, power, and explosiveness are prevalent in the first records, yet experimentation was brought to another level with their third record and personal favorite, “Kazando Malandras” (2005), where they started experimenting with FX, vocal arrangements, riveting melodies, and more dynamic rhythms.

However, last year, after a hiatus, the band unveiled their latest album, “AUTOMATRON” (2024), re-energized, heavier, and full of dynamite.

The current lineup is based in Finland and Mexico, yet their collaboration makes waves across continents, and their fandom tells tales of their legendary live shows. Hoping e can catch one of them in the future.
