Stela’s LP "Serafim Triste" is just as its name implies: angelic melodies drenched in sadness and ire. It’s an expressive record that experiments with velocity, high dynamics, and tasty riffs.
Giving us some rainy and moody tracks like “pra que mentir?” or more energetic tracks like “contra o windows”. Contrasting to sleeves of sun and even rainbow tracks like “lindacaos.wav”.
Our favorite things are the balance between gossamer textures, octaved vocals and hurt and driven chord progressions. There are a lot of special bands, but this one has a particular type of spark and spirit, a sincerity that is now immortalized in this album forever.
By far our favorite band of the week.
